DRUKHARI UPDATE:

12 July 2023

Drukhari

The city of Commoragh is riven with rumours about a new hunting ground in the Priam Sub Sector. This is a perfect place for your warriors to hunt and take trophies.

Playing as Drukhari

Your goal is to increase your personal wealth and fame in the dark city of Commaragh and if you can mess with the other Archon’s all the better.

Gaining Strategic Points

You may gain Strategic Points in the following ways.

  1. For each unit you destroy in combat.
  2. Completing your dark purpose.
  3. Providing gladiators to the Commaragh pits.

The Forces of Commaragh

You start with an Archon, Succubus or Haemonculus. These models gain +1 Wouns and +1 Attack.

This dictates if you are a Kabal, Wytch Cult or Coven. A Kabal (Archon) starts with a Tower a Cult (Succubus) starts with an Arena and a Coven (Haemonculus) starts with a Lab.

Additionally all of them start with a Hangar. Each of these can be built up further through spending Strategic Points.

Dark Purpose

Each Drukhari player will be issued with 5 Dark Purpose cards. These represent their objectives, these may be objectives that need to be completed in a game or that need to be completed on the campaign map. You will gain Strategic Points as you complete your Dark Purpose.

Real Space Raids

Drukhari do not care about territory and as such do not invade planets. Drukhari players however can choose to fight in invasions as either side. In this case they will not add any Victory Points they receive to their side, but will add 10 Victory Points per 500pts of their opponents force to their sides score at the end of the game.

Pain and Torment

When you remove a model in the fight phase as a casualty you gain a number of pain counters. You gain 1 pain counter per starting wound the model had. For every 10 pain counters at the end of the game you gain 1 Strategic Point.

Gladiatorial Combatants

If you remove an enemy Character in the fight phase you may attempt to capture them for the pits of Commaragh.

To do this you must have removed them in the fight phase. Roll 2d6 if you roll over the units starting wounds then you capture the model. Modify the units wounds by +1 for each boon it has received. Eg. a 4 wound model with 3 wounds would require you to roll a 8 or more. A 12 always captures the model.

At the end of the game take a toughness test for each Gladiator, if they pass you gain 1 Strategic Point. Keep going with Toughness tests until the model fails gaining additional Strategic Points. Once a model fails they are killed and they are removed from the master list of their controlling player.

If the model is a Greater Daemon or Daemon Prince it is Banished for 2d3 games and then returns to its owners Master List.

If the model is a Necron Character they roll for injury as per normal returning to their owners master list.

Freedom of the Pit

Any player may ask to have a fight for freedom for their model in the pit from the Drukhari player.

To do this the player will have to fight one on one against a champion of the Drukhari players choosing.

These models fight in one on one combat with sides rolling off for first turn and starting 12″ apart.

The Drukhari player may decide on additional constraints on the match, eg. there will be an additional players model etc.

If the players model survives then they are free, they gain 2 Boons. If they are removed as a casualty they are killed.

If the Drukhari player uses one of their models (non-Blades For Hire) they gain 1 Strategic Point for each wound they take and 2 Strategic Points for each wound they cause. If the Drukhari player uses one of their models and they are defeated they roll on the Injury Roll chart.

Drukhari players and Chaos Daemon players may bet on the outcome of these matches.

The Halls of Commaragh

Commaragh is a dangerous place where allegiances and webs of power are important. The structures and facilities under your control will dictate what forces are available to you. You can dominate and gain new
structures at any time by paying 25 Strategic Points. Be careful though as these followers may turn against you.

  • Tower: You may field an Archon and up to 30 Dark Eldar Warriors.
  • Arena: You may field a Succubus and up to 30 Wytches.

  • Slave Pens: You may field up to 200 points of slaves.
  • Corsairs Hall: You may field up to 30 Corsairs.

Slaves of Commaragh

After a battle for each enemy Infantry model that isn’t a character that is destroyed roll 1d6 on a 6 that model has been taken to Commoragh. If you have Slave Pens you may add these models to your slaves, increase your slave count by the number of wounds these models had.

When fielding slaves you may field as many models as you have slave count. These models may be made up of units from any Troop choice other than Adeptus Astartes, Adeptus Custodes, Adeptus Mechanicum, Santic Astartes and Necrons.

If you do not have any Slave Pens you gain 1 Strategic Point for every 10 Slaves. If you have Slave Pens you may choose to sell your slaves in the same way.

Loyalty of Commaragh

After each game you must upkeep your structures. You may ignore your first three structures, but the others will have to be paid for.
